This residence was built in the 1870s. In 2004, 10 Downing Street was the Liberal Party campaign headquarters for the Brisbane City Council election. Successful Lord Mayoral candidate Campbell Newman was provided with 10 Downing Street, by its owner and his father-in-law Professor Darveniza.
