This large timber residence was constructed circa 1921 for Herbert Lyon and his wife Gertrude. In 1924, Dr. Antony St. Ledger and his wife Kathleen purchased the property and by 1925 had built a medical practice at the front of the block where Antony worked. In the early 1950s the property was sold and the house was converted into flats. The surgery was also extended at this time and appears to have remained in continuous use as a medical practice since 1925.

History
This house may have been built by the Lyon family circa 1921. Herbert James Edwin Lyon and his wife Gertrude Mary acquired title to the property in that year. James Lyon appears to have been living in the immediate vicinity since 1919.
In December 1924 Dr Antony Waddington St. Ledger and his wife Kathleen Josephine obtained the property, and St Ledger established his medical practice on-site. He had previously practiced at Cunnamulla. St Ledger remained in Bulimba until his death, although he had also established a medical practice on Wickham Tce by 1938. On the death of his wife in 1951 title passed to Dr I C Morrison and his wife Adelaide Mary.
The Morrisons converted the dwelling into flats but also organised and extension to the surgery in 1954. A carport was added in 1965.
The site appears to have been in continuous use as a medical practice since 1925.
