This house was likely constructed sometime around 1890 for contractor William Davies. It is an uncommon nineteenth century double transverse gable worker's cottage. Davies purchased the property on which the house stands from Walter Wilson, holder of over 53 acres, in May 1890 and immediately obtained a mortgage of £155, possibly to finance construction of this house. He retained the property until 1907. It changed hands a number of times in ensuing years and by the 1990s had fallen into some disrepair. It appears the present owners have restored the house.
