This house was likely built in 1902 for local farmer George Albury. It is significant as an early Zillmere Federation styled residence. Albury purchased the property in 1902 from George Conradi, a butcher of nearby Downfall Creek. Albury immediately raised a mortgage on the property and it is reasonable to presume he used the funds to build this house. At that time the property was 1 rood and twenty-four perches in size and it remained un-subdivided and within the Albury family for a further 47 years.
