This timber house on the corner of Wellington and Ormonde Streets was built in 1885 for Petrie Terrace resident and seamen, Peter Albert. The house was built as an investment property for Albert as he lived in a house in nearby Princess Street. Throughout the years it has been home to a variety of tenants and with its rear kitchen wing and prominent corner position, the house demonstrates Petrie Terrace’s urban development in the late nineteenth century.
