Hamilton State School (QHR)

The first Hamilton State School building was designed and constructed by the Queensland Department of Public Works in 1906. It was officially opened by Andrew Petrie, the local Member of Parliament on 19 March 1907 and is an example of the substantial brick state school buildings built in Queensland in the early 1900s during a time of increasing prosperity and population growth.
