This striking Federation era house was built in 1918 for clerk, Robert William Crane and his wife, Muriel Donaldo Cran. The house was named ‘Doniel’ and remained in the Cran family until the 1960s. The house not only makes an important contribution to the Riverview Terrace streetscape, it also reflects the suburban development in Hamilton during this period.
