This war memorial was placed at the intersection of Moggill and Brookfield Roads. Construction was undertaken by the prominent stonemasons A.L. Petrie & Sons. Opened on 3 July 1920, the Memorial originally included a single flagstaff and timber & wire boundary fence. In 1969, it was relocated to the Kenmore Village shopping centre carpark due to roadworks. In April 1987, the memorial underwent restoration before being moved 452 metres to a new memorial park ‘Pike Place’ on Brookfield Road in October 1988. This was funded as a Bicentennial Project.
